How hard are men's cards??!!

In all the years I have been card making this is the first time I have managed to make a men's card that I am happy with, previously I have gone for the easy option and just bought them.  This one has taken me over a week to finally finish.

I made this for a chap I work with and I hope he will like it - the sentiment is quite fitting for him (I think it is anyway).

The digi image is a gorgeous image from Bugaboo and is called Gus. He does come with hair but I removed it for this particular card. The image is coloured with Promarkers.

Here he is:

Tumble Ted

Spent a few hours this afternoon getting to know my new Silhouette Cameo and while I've still  not quite got the hang of it I have managed to cut a few shapes out in the correct sizes. Definitely need to buy some more cheap card to practise on!!

I did managed to get one card done today. I am still on the Christmas theme (sorry), this time I have used an image from the Tumble Ted's CD and coloured it in with Promarkers.

The blue paper is just from my stash of Christmas papers. The snowflake frame was designed by Seline from UKScrappers and was cut out on the Cameo. I added outline stickers (blue round glittery ones) to the centre of all the snowflakes.

I used Pinflair to add Tumble Ted so he is raised slightly above the frame and a couple of extra snowflakes.  There isn't really any room to add a sentiment but I think it's clear that its a Christmas card.
