Wrapping Christmas Pressie's

Just got two more Christmas presents to buy and then I have done. The bit I don't enjoy that much is wrapping them all up so thought I would make a few boxes for some of the smaller things rather than use wrapping paper.

This is a box purchased from the Silhouette store made using black card and papers that have been in my stash for quite a while. This box fits two Bath Bombs from Lush perfectly - I wrapped the bombs in pink tissue paper first. At the top of the box I cut the pink tissue paper into ribbons so that it covers up the little hole at the top - just to stop prying eyes.

This is the front of the box:

The back of the box (other two sides are same):

Once it was cut out it was very simple to put together - just stick the panels onto the main box first before you assemble it.

Well, I have one more of these to do, a Birthday card and a new home card and that will be me all up to date on the crafting front. May even get the time to do a little online shopping. Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far x

Me to You Christmas Card

This is a card made for a swap I joined on Facebook. Last weekend I bought some Holographic embossing powder and could not wait to make a mess...I mean play.

The die-cut image and backing papers are from the Me to You Winter Wonderland paper pack.

The snowflakes and swirl were cut on the Silhouette and embossed with my new powder (which does not show at all on the photo) and a few gems from my stash have been added. Several white round glittery stickers added to make a snowball pile.

I confess that I did end up with more embossing powder on me than on the snowflakes I am still seeing the occasional bits of glitter downstairs...ooops!

Another gorjuss card and a beautiful Robin

We are having the room and kitchen decorated next week so spent the weekend so far clearing them out  / cleaning. Cannot wait to get some colour on the walls and this will be the downstairs finished in plenty of time for Christmas. I have taken some before photo's and will take some when its done - so excited!!

Anyway, not had time for crafting so here is a second card from the same gorjuss kit as the last card. This time I have kept the embellishments very simple. I used some washi tape along the bottom, stamped sentiment with gems added and a few gems in the top left corners. I used black card for layering and the rest of the papers came with the kit. Here is the finished card:

It's quite a dull day here but we have a little Robin who is visiting the garden again this year and this time he sat on the fence for ages - I think he knew he was getting his photo taken and was just posing. He is beautiful:

Simply gorjuss

I don't usually buy card making kits but I managed to pick up a couple of gorjuss decoupage kits really cheaply a few months ago and thought I would be able to put them together pretty quickly. Well the 'quick' thing didn't work out as its taken me two days to finish one card off.

So the decoupage is from the card kit. I have added candi to the corners and mounted the decoupage on black card and then paper that came with the kit.

The paper glued directly onto the card is actually a wallpaper sample. It never made it onto our walls but I really liked the texture and knew it would work well on a card one day. The card stock is grey. I added cord and the flower which I cut out on the Cameo.

Here is the finished card:

Hope you have all had a good weekend. I am just going to attempt to make Lasagne now for Sunday dinner - wish me luck!!
