Whole afternoon for card making

I have had a really stressful week at work so just relaxing this afternoon. A little shopping this morning for a few bits and pieces. My Mum always used to buy my Dad an Eric the Penguin calender so I have bought him one for the last few years, it may not sound much but it means a lot to him and it makes him smile and that's all that matters to me.

Hubby is watching the footie on tv (well he is probably napping now) so hopefully I will have a few hours peace and quiet.

Anyway, I got fed up of making Christmas cards so decided to make a start on a Mother's Day card. Kept it really simple, used the Cameo to cut the word MUM out of white card stock then embossed the card using the Tied Together folder. Layered this with paper from my stash, added Liquid Pearls to highlight the centres and added a flower and flourish using the same backing paper. For a first attempt I am quite happy and I am going to try the same technique for a Fathers Day card.  Would love to hear what you think:
