Sad news and its no use, I have just had to start my Christmas Cards....

Well, we had a really good holiday but came back to the devastating news that one of our little kitties had had to be put to sleep. Although Pookie had been diabetic for about 10 years we had never had any health issues with her. She seemed fine when we left and because of her diabetes we took her to the vets every 6 months for blood tests so it has been a massive shock to us to find that a tumor had grown very suddenly in her throat. She was 15 years old and had had a long and happy life but we miss her very much xx

I had no date set in mind as to when to start making Christmas cards but it's actually not that far away now and so I have finally made a start.

Father Christmas is a digital image from Cuddly Buddly:

The backing papers are from my stash. The digi image has been coloured with Promarkers and I added a little glitter to the snow and Santa's beard. Blue pencil has been used to very lightly shade around Santa.

Here is a close up:

The fairy lights and Poinsettia have been cut out on my Cameo and I added gloss to the fairy lights to make them sparkle:

For my next Christmas card I am going to use this same digi image and add it to a Box Card...I think what will look particularly amazing is making the box card look like the chimney with this image coming out of it and add a few reindeers at the back!

Thank you for stopping by and having a peek x

  3. 15 is a good age for a cat, but I know you will miss her. At least she had a long and happy life.
