How to make a brown card beautiful with a fancy flourish

Rightly or wrongly I often use brown when making cards for men but decided to have a go at using this colour to make a more feminine card.

The base is made from Kraft card (simple 5 x 7 card) and I used Distress Inks to change the colour to more of a rich brown. I used the Rococo Edge'able die from the Die'Sire range to create the flourish at the top of the card but any of the Edge'able dies would work.

For the front panel I used Sara's Floral Delight Ornate Trellis and some backing paper from my stash which I cut slightly larger than the trellis. The flowers where cut out of white Centura Pearl and coloured with Distress Inks. I finished it off with a tag and gems.

Thank you for visiting and hope you all have a fabulous Easter weekend x

Items Used:
Die'Sire Edge'ables Rococo Die

  1. Works for me, I do like that die. I may have to invest but waiting to see if they make it in a bigger version.
