This is my first project for The Inspirers so I hope you like it. When I first started out with the idea I made it on a 6" x 6" piece of card (I was intending to make an easel card).
First I embossed the entire card (very easy to match the embossing folder up by the way) and then I cut out lots of hexagons using the smallest hexagon die. I cut them out of Sheena Douglas 'A Taste of India' papers (Indian Summer 8) which came with the CD.
Mix up all the colours and randomly stick them onto the embossed hexagons covering them all.
It was at this stage that I decided to make it into a hexagon shaped card....
I used a strip of Centura Pearl (cream) for the centre panel and cut some larger hexagons for the middle pattern. Here I used the stamps that came free and coloured them with Spectrum Noir Pens.
It wouldn't be me if I didn't add a few gems so a couple of gold ones finished it off.
My second card I kept very simple:
This time the hexagons are cut out of an old strip of card I had painted with Aquatints. I just knew it would come in useful one day!
I hope you like them both, have a fabulous weekend x
