Create-A-Card Love Birds and Congratulations

After seeing some gorgeous cards on Pinterest I wanted to have a go at using several Distress Inks to create a colourful background.

It was simple enough to do, just pick three or four different colours, take the first one and apply random circles of colour onto different parts of your card. Take your second colour and do the same and keep going with each colour. You may need to go back over any white area's or, if you are using pastel colours like I have, you may want to go over them again to make them stand out a little more. I used Centura Pearl card which gives it a lovely shimmer.

Once I had my card base I decided to use a Create-A-Card die 'Love Birds' for the main topper and 'Congratulations' as the stopper part of the easel card.

I used Kraft card for the base of the Easel card and Cream Linen card for matting and layering. I think this would be perfect for a New Home, Wedding or Engagement.

I loved this technique so will be trying this with more bold colours.
