I opted to try some hand sewing. Now technically this is not something entirely new for me but the last time I sewed anything was a very long time ago and I usually stuck to easy things like hems using a sewing machine.
I am the first to admit that this isn't one of my finer pieces of work but I wanted to show you all anyway as I want to to keep practicing and it will be a good record to see how my work improves. I have already purchase the Purse Kit by Debbie Shore
So this little cutie is a scented owl:
I didn't have any stuffing for this so used cotton wool. I soaked a little bit of the cotton wool in some vanilla scented oils and placed this in the middle. At the moment it smells lovely!
So why don't you try something new for 2017, go way outside your comfort zone and show off your results.

Hi Angela this is so cute I love it. The thing I am doing out of my comfort zone this year is making the flowers for our daughter's wedding. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteLove your very cute owl Angela xx
ReplyDeleteWell done Angela, it's a real challenge to get out of "the comfort zone".
ReplyDeleteYou've made a great job of this and I bet it smells lovely too :-)
