This cheeky little mouse is all warm and cosy

It is so cold out at the moment that I could not resist this cheeky little mouse looking really warm and snuggled up in this mug. I bought quite a lot of House Mouse stamps last year but didn't do much crafting. Just after Christmas, while browsing the web I came across the House Mouse Challenge Blog and decided to have a go at their next challenge.

So here is my entry to HMFMC185 - Sketch or anything goes challenge. I decided to go with the sketch:

All the papers are from my stash, some of the edges have been inked and I mounted each piece onto dark brown paper. I stamped the swirl in the top right corner and added Perfect Pearls to it and along one of the edges.

The little mouse and mug was coloured with Promarkers. I used Cool Grey 3 and 4 for the fur and Soft Peach and Tan for the face. I touched the nose up with more Soft Peach just to show how cold it really is.

For the mug I used a combination of Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna and Caramel. Once everything was coloured in I cut the image out, rounded it slightly and used sticky foam pads to give a 3D effect. I then used a clear gloss to give the mug a shine. Cool Grey 3 was used underneath to give a shadow effect. Three pieces of Candi and a stamped sentiment (from one of the House Mouse stamp sets) finished the card off.

Here is a close up of the little mouse:

I have loved taking part in this challenge and its the first time I have followed a sketch but I have enjoyed it.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and stay as warm as this little mouse x
