Art Deco Flower Edge'able used to frame a card

I was so lucky to get to work on the new Edge'able Die's released a couple of weeks ago and loved the all of the new products.

When I originally started this card I discarded the die cut because I had intended to cut on all sides but due to a measuring error I couldn't cut the fourth side. I left it on the side with the intention of throwing it away but the next day I came up with this idea:

The base card is 6" x 6" inch and is coloured with Distress Inks. The Edge'able panel was cut from an 8" x 8" piece of card and layered onto the base card. Another panel was cut to fit in the centre and Distress inks used to replicate the colours on the base card.

Matching coloured pearls were used on each of the Art Deco Flowers and a die cut flower in the centre to finish the card. I think this card would suit many different occasions and a sentiment would look lovely placed over the stem of the flowers.

So, the moral of this, don't be too hasty when a design goes wrong, try leaving it a few days to see if something jumps out at you!

Thank you for popping over and hope you all have a fab Bank Holiday weekend x
