How to make pretty corners for your cards with Die'Sire

I am a little late blogging about the new Die'Sire Corner Die's but I loved experimenting with these dies to see what can be created. Here is an easel card I did for the TV launch:

It was very easy to make. Take two pieces of A4 piece of card and measure / cut one to 11 ½" x 5 ¾" and the second piece to 5 ¾" x 5 ¾".

Take the 5 ¾" (topper part of the card) and place the two of the corner dies onto the corners and run through your die cutting machine to cut and then emboss. Repeat the process for the remaining corners but so you don't spoil the first cut / emboss leave this section of the card hanging outside of your plates (or if you have the Gemini you can stop and reverse the cut).

Take the 11 ½" x 5 ¾" piece of card and score at 5 ¾" and again at 2 14/16", this will be the base part of your easel. The next part is a little tricky so take the time to ensure you line the corners up correctly so that when the topper section is attached the die cuts all line up.

Take the corner dies and use them to cut out the corners on the base card. However, don't forget how the easel card works so on the smaller scored section (14/16") you need to place the dies on the outside of the card and on the larger base section you place them on the inner section of the card.

Decorate your topper section and base and stick the topper / base together ensuring you line up the corner cuts.

This style of card will work with any of the Die'Sire Corner dies and I would love to see your take on it if you have a go. You can reach me on Facebook by clicking on the following link. Or pop over to the Crafter's Companion page here.

Hope you like the card and thank you for popping by x
